Our Vision:
To plant a contagious church planting and disciple making movement that will tangibly transform Medina County and significantly impact North Eastern Ohio.
Our Mission Statement:
Every person a missionary,
every family a church,
every building a training center.
Our Values:
Everyone gets to play. Whether it is participating in the corporate worship service, helping clean up a neighborhood, or praying over someone in need, we believe every person is called to contribute to the overall life of the community. From the regular church goer to a visiting seeker of truth, everyone is invited to play. We value active community participation.
Tell the story and tell it well. At St. George’s we believe in the power of narrative. Story is the vehicle that we use to articulate the reality of what God has done in the world through Jesus Christ. As modern-day storytellers, we share not only the good news of Jesus Christ with words, but also with our lives. We value being witnesses to what God has done in Christ.
God inhabits every part of us. Following Jesus isn’t just about memorizing words, studying theological concepts, singing songs with gusto, or engaging in good works. Every part of our humanity: our minds, our hearts, our souls, our bodies, our spirits… are places of encounter and profound transformation. God’s goal is nothing short than an entirely whole and fully alive person. We value an integrated spirituality.
Embracing transcendence. We live in an age that values the bottom line, the means justifying the ends, and instant gratification. Our community rhythm at St. George’s is marked by not only “doing things well”, but also “making things beautiful.” Creativity, beauty, and imagination find their home in God and are aspects of St. George’s culture. We value inspired creativity.
Loving the other. The words we use. The looks we give. The meals we share…matter to God. As followers of Jesus we want to speak, act, and love in a way that honors all humans beings as being created in the image of God. Our posture as a community is to always have room at the table for those who are classified as “the other.” We value a generous hospitality.
